Brand & Rehosting Policy

Effective 2 August 2026.

Short version: talk about MarkWipe freely, link to us freely — but do not put our name on a copy of the tool that we do not run.

You may, without asking

• Link to markwipe.com from anywhere.
• Write about, review, compare, or criticise MarkWipe, and use the name to do so.
• Take screenshots of the tool for articles, tutorials, or videos.
• Recommend it to anyone.

Please do not

• Use the MarkWipe name or logo on a rehosted, mirrored, or modified copy of the tool, or on any site or app we do not operate.
• Present MarkWipe as your own product, or imply partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement that does not exist.
• Use the name or logo in a domain name, app-store listing, or social handle.
• Modify the logo, or use it in a way that implies our approval of other content.

The name and logo belong to Elixo Group LLC and are not covered by the open-source licences of the components the tool downloads. Those components are credited on the Licenses page and carry their own terms, which a code licence never extends to our brand.

On rehosted copies — an honest note

MarkWipe runs in your browser, which means its front-end assets are, by design, downloadable by anyone who visits. We are not going to pretend otherwise or claim a technical protection we do not have: anyone determined to copy the interface can. What they may not do is call it MarkWipe, imply we operate it, or represent it as carrying our privacy guarantees — because a copy we do not run is a copy whose behaviour we cannot vouch for, and that is precisely the risk to users.

If you have built something genuinely your own and want to mention MarkWipe as an influence or comparison, that is fine and welcome. Just be clear it is yours, not ours.

Reporting misuse

If you find a site using our name or logo without permission, we would appreciate a note to hello@markwipe.com. Helpful details: the URL, the date you saw it, a screenshot or archive link, and what specifically is being misused.
