Terms of Use
Effective 2 August 2026.
By using MarkWipe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the tool.
Who operates MarkWipe
MarkWipe is operated by Elixo Group LLC, 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. These terms are an agreement between you and Elixo Group LLC. Questions: hello@markwipe.com.
What the tool is for
MarkWipe removes the small, fixed badge an AI image generator stamps into a corner of its output, and other small fixed marks such as a camera timestamp or a logo you placed on your own photo. It is intended for media you created or are otherwise authorized to edit. You are responsible for having the rights to any file you process.
Your content stays yours — and stays with you
You keep all rights to the files you edit. We ask for no licence over your content, because we never receive it: processing happens entirely in your browser. There is no clause here permitting us to store, reproduce, or train on your media, because there is no mechanism by which we could.
Acceptable use
Do not use MarkWipe to remove watermarks, credits, or ownership marks from work belonging to someone else in order to republish it, resell it, misrepresent authorship, or bypass a licensing requirement. Full detail — including what we will not help with — is in the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Free service, no accounts, no subscription
MarkWipe is free to use. There are no accounts, no usage caps, no watermark added to your result, and no paid tier — so there is nothing to cancel and no refund policy to apply. We intend to keep the tool free and fund it with advertising on editorial pages. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time; because you need no account and store nothing with us, you lose nothing held by us if we do.
No affiliation with AI vendors
MarkWipe is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, Kling, Hailuo, Vidu, Runway, Luma, Pika, Higgsfield, Ideogram, OpenAI, or any other generator we mention. Their names are used only to describe which badges our presets were measured against — nominative use, nothing more. All trademarks belong to their owners.
Limits of the tool
MarkWipe handles small marks that stay in one place. Marks that move between frames, patterns tiled across the whole image, general object removal, and photo restoration are all out of scope — this is a badge remover, not an editor. Where a result cannot be good, we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Editing pixels also removes or invalidates embedded metadata and provenance credentials such as EXIF details and C2PA Content Credentials. We disclose this at export rather than implying the file is otherwise untouched.
Intellectual property in the site
The MarkWipe name, logo, site design, and written content are owned by Elixo Group LLC. The open-source components the tool downloads are licensed separately and credited on the Licenses page. Use of the MarkWipe name and brand is covered by the Brand & Rehosting Policy.
No warranty
The tool is provided free and “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tool will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will meet your expectations. Keep your originals.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elixo Group LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, images, or profits, arising out of your use of MarkWipe. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use it (which is zero) or USD 50.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the files you process and for having the rights to edit them. If your use of MarkWipe in breach of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to be responsible for that claim to the extent the law allows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to use MarkWipe after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence.
