Copyright & Takedown Policy
Effective 2 August 2026.
We respect copyright and expect our users to do the same. This page explains what we can and cannot act on, and how to reach us.
An important structural point
MarkWipe hosts no user files. Images are processed inside your own browser and never reach our servers, so there is no user-uploaded copy of anyone's work on our systems for us to remove, and no library of processed media to search. This is not a technicality we hide behind — it means a takedown request aimed at a user's file cannot be actioned by us, because that file exists only on that person's own device.
What we can act on is content we publish ourselves: page text, images, demonstration samples, and anything else on this website.
If you believe our own content infringes your rights
Please write to hello@markwipe.com with the subject line “Copyright complaint”, and include:
- Your name, organisation (if any), and contact details.
- Identification of the work you say is infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on markwipe.com where the material appears.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
We aim to acknowledge complete reports promptly and to remove or amend genuinely infringing material we published. If we believe a request is mistaken, we will explain why rather than simply ignoring it. If material of yours is removed and you believe that was wrong, write to the same address and we will review it.
Reports about misuse of the tool
If you believe someone is using MarkWipe against our Acceptable Use Policy — for example, stripping your ownership mark from your work — you can tell us at hello@markwipe.com. Please be aware of the limit described above: we have no account records, no logs of processed files, and no way to identify a user, because the tool collects none of that. We cannot take action against an individual we have no record of. We will listen, and we will act on anything within our actual control, including our own content and how the tool is presented.
Repeat infringement
We do not operate user accounts, so there is no account to terminate. Should MarkWipe ever add a surface where users publish content, we will adopt a formal repeat-infringer policy and register a designated copyright agent before that surface goes live.
