How it works
How does removing an AI watermark in the browser work?
- Open your image Drop it in, paste it, or pick a file. It stays on your device.
- Mark the badge One tap with a preset, or paint over the corner mark yourself.
- Download clean The badge is reconstructed away. Every other pixel is untouched.
You open your image, mark the badge, and an inpainting model reconstructs what was underneath it. The model downloads to your browser in the background the first time you visit and then runs on your device's GPU or CPU, which is why nothing needs to be uploaded and why there is no usage cap to enforce.
It works on the output of Gemini, Kling, Vidu, Runway, Ideogram and the rest — MarkWipe reads the mark, not the brand. Only the area you paint is rewritten; every other pixel is passed through untouched, and the default export is lossless PNG. There are no accounts, no daily limits, and nothing of ours is stamped on your result.
What MarkWipe cannot do
A badge that sits still in one place is what this engine handles well. Marks that move around the frame between shots, patterns tiled across the whole image, and large objects that need inventing rather than patching are all out of scope — and we would rather tell you that now than waste your time. Video support is in development.
That is a choice, not a gap waiting to be filled. A small, fixed badge removed properly is what fits in an AI model running on your own hardware — so it is the one job we build, and the one we would rather do well than dilute.

Frequently asked questions
- Do my images get uploaded anywhere?
- No. MarkWipe processes images entirely in your browser using your own device’s hardware. There is no upload step and no server that receives your files — you can confirm it yourself in your browser’s Network tab while the tool runs.
- Which AI generators does this work with?
- Any generator that stamps a small, fixed badge into a corner or along an edge — Gemini, Kling, Hailuo, Vidu, Runway, Luma, Pika, Higgsfield and Ideogram all mark their output this way. MarkWipe works on the mark rather than on the brand, so a generator we have never heard of is fine too, as long as its badge sits still in one place.
- Does removing the badge reduce image quality?
- Only the area you paint is rewritten — MarkWipe passes every other pixel through untouched, and the default export is PNG, which is lossless. One honest caveat about colour: if your image carries a wide-gamut profile (most iPhone photos do), Safari converts it to sRGB while opening the file, before any browser-based tool can see the pixels, which shifts colours very slightly across the whole image. Chrome, Edge and Firefox keep the original values. MarkWipe checks which of the two happened on your device and tells you before you download.
- Is it legal to remove an AI watermark?
- It depends entirely on who owns the media. MarkWipe is built for content you created or have the rights to edit — your own generations from tools like Gemini, Kling, or Runway. Removing a mark from someone else’s work to pass it off as your own or to bypass licensing is not something this tool is intended for.
- Is there a daily limit or a paid tier?
- No. There are no accounts, no daily caps, no watermark stamped on your output, and no paywalled features. The tool runs on your hardware, so there is no per-use cost for us to pass on to you.
- What can’t it remove?
- Marks that move, marks that repeat across the whole frame, and anything that is really an object rather than a badge. Watermarks that drift, bounce, or animate between frames — like Sora’s — are out of scope, and so are tiled patterns stamped over the entire image. MarkWipe is not a general object eraser or a photo-restoration tool: it removes a small fixed mark and leaves everything else exactly as it was. When a mark is beyond it, we would rather tell you now than waste your time.
